Born in Budapest, Hungary, Dori Varga was raised by a family of six children. With a degree in Art Management she worked within the contemporary art world as a curator between her hometown and Berlin, Germany for many years. Poetry came last— after she moved to America in 2013, became a mother and founded TRIBE de MAMA; an international women empowerment platform and magazine.
Through poetry, Dori is interested in the explorations of self-discovery. Psychology and spirituality go hand in hand while she observes the exchange between mind, body and spirit. First Tantric, then Islamic practices has given her a frame while creating around the subject of relating through womanhood, motherhood and romance. Dori`s first collection of poems Watching with Closed Eyes was released in March 2019.
